Estimation of Population-Level Summaries in General Semiparametric Repeated Measures Regression Models

چکیده
Abstract: This paper considers a wide family of semiparametric repeated measures regression models, in which the main interest is on estimating populationlevel quantities such as mean, variance, probabilities etc. Examples of our framework include generalized linear models for clustered/longitudinal data, among many others. We derive plug-in kernel-based estimators of the population level quantities and derive their asymptotic distribution. An example involving estimation of the survival function of hemoglobin measures in the Kenya hemoglobin study data is presented to demonstrate our methodology.

Efficient Estimation of Population-Level Summaries in General Semiparametric Regression Models
This article considers a wide class of semiparametric regression models in which interest focuses on population-level quantities that combine both the parametric and the nonparametric parts of the model. Special cases in this approach include generalized partially linear models, generalized partially linear single-index models, structural measurement error models, and many others. For estimatin...
متن کاملSemiparametric estimation in general repeated measures problems
The paper considers a wide class of semiparametric problems with a parametric part for some covariate effects and repeated evaluations of a nonparametric function. Special cases in our approach include marginal models for longitudinal or clustered data, conditional logistic regression for matched case–control studies, multivariate measurement error models, generalized linear mixed models with a...
متن کاملGeneralized Ridge Regression Estimator in Semiparametric Regression Models
In the context of ridge regression, the estimation of ridge (shrinkage) parameter plays an important role in analyzing data. Many efforts have been put to develop skills and methods of computing shrinkage estimators for different full-parametric ridge regression approaches, using eigenvalues. However, the estimation of shrinkage parameter is neglected for semiparametric regression models. The m...
متن کاملSemiparametric Mixed Models for Nested Repeated Measures Applied to Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring Data.
Semiparametric mixed models are increasingly popular for statistical analysis of medical device studies in which long sequences of repeated measurements are recorded. Monitoring these sequences at different periods over time on the same individual, such as before and after an intervention, results in nested repeated measures (NRM). Covariance models to account for NRM and simultaneously address...
متن کاملMaximum likelihood estimation in semiparametric regression models with censored data
Semiparametric regression models play a central role in formulating the effects of covariates on potentially censored failure times and in the joint modelling of incomplete repeated measures and failure times in longitudinal studies. The presence of infinite dimensional parameters poses considerable theoretical and computational challenges in the statistical analysis of such models. We present ...
